In order to provide you with tax free HCA (Health Care Account) reimbursements the IRS dictates that we can only disburse the funds for certain expenses. The following is a list of what we CAN and WILL reimburse for to keep your funds tax free:

Please keep in mind that we require a receipt/bill and/or a doctor’s note for all of the above services. The bill/receipt must have a date of service (not a date of payment), patients’ name, amount owed by the patient and must be a bill of service. The name of the patient MUST be the member, spouse or child (under the age of 26) of the member, household pets are NOT considered dependents and requests will automatically be denied for any veterinarian bills received. We are at liberty to request further documentation or to call your doctor to confirm all of the above information.
*Please note that all bills of service must be accompanied by an Explanation of Benefits from your Health Insurance Provider as well as a receipt of payment in order to be reimbursed for your bill of service.*
WE DO NOT ACCEPT:
Receipts with dates of services (not payment dates) more than 18 months old from the present date
Receipts with no patient name – except for bandages
Receipts for OTC (over the counter) medication starting 1/1/2011, unless accompanied by a doctor’s prescription specifying the medication required for purchase (specific name)
